Senator Crapo, Support the DOGE Cuts: Halt the Runaway Train of Corruption

The following is an open letter to Senator Mike Crapo:
Dear Senator Crapo,
I would like to address your recent opposition to DOGE related spending cuts.
Years ago, you came to Latah County and spoke at one of our events. When asked what really worried you, what was capable of keeping you up at night, you spoke of the national debt. Back then the debt/government spending was already obviously on an unsustainable path that would lead to destruction. You shared your concern about that. But that was pre-Covid spending. It was unsustainable and insane and already there was no excuse for voting for more of the same. But spending exploded during Covid and went from merely insane to suicidal.
We are at the point where, if we do not act with extreme resolve, economic and financial catastrophe is 100% assured. If we do something now it may hurt, but we stand a chance of redeeming some kind of a future for our children. It's time to lead—and when presented with a budget worse than the one you once criticized, you failed to take the most basic step: addressing government corruption and backing the fraud-related cuts exposed by DOGE.
Our country is a slow-moving train wreck heading over a cliff. Hardworking citizens are trapped on this runaway train, unable to escape without the cooperation of corrupt politicians like you. Despite fully understanding the danger, you’ve chosen to lock us in that train—apparently convinced that profiting from the wreck will somehow spare you from the crash. It won’t.
It is money out of my wages, my living, my grocery bill that you want wasted on perversion, fraud and corruption. If you would not crack your own Washington DC inflated wallet to fund what you are voting for, you should not rob our wallets.
Sincerely,
Gresham Bouma
